Our commitment to you

At The Prompt Case, your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we process your text prompts and design data, and how we safeguard your personal details.

1. Information we collect

We collect information across two distinct categories: design generation data and order fulfillment details.

Design studio and AI generation data

When you use our design studio to create custom phone case artwork:

  • Text prompts and style presets: The creative phrases, keywords, and artistic styles you submit to generate artwork.
  • Generated artwork and mockups: The digital images and phone mockup previews produced by our design pipeline, along with unique design identifiers.
  • Uploaded photographs: If you choose to upload a reference photo for custom art conversion, we process that photograph solely to generate your artwork and render phone previews. Uploaded photos are stored in secure cloud storage and are never used to train public models or shared with marketing networks.
  • Design session state: Temporary identifiers and preferences stored during your browsing session so you can preview, refine, and order your case without losing your work.
  • Optional email verification: After two free designs, you can verify your email for five extra designs each day. We store your email and verification status against your design session for up to 30 days. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes and are stored as cryptographic hashes. Daily usage counters use hashed identifiers. Verification does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
  • Design reminders: After you verify your email, we also link it to designs created in the same session. If you leave without ordering, we may email a reminder with a link to return to your design.

The Prompt Case does not claim ownership of your prompts, uploaded photographs, or generated artwork. The limited rights we need to process, print, retain, or publicly display them are described in our Terms of Service.

Order fulfillment and contact details

When you place an order, we collect information needed to print and deliver your case:

  • Full name
  • Shipping address and delivery pincode
  • Email address (for order confirmation, tracking updates, and support)
  • Mobile phone number (required for courier delivery coordination and SMS updates)

Payment details are processed directly by authorized payment gateways. We never access, store, or process your full credit card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or banking passwords.

When you contact support, we collect the information you submit with your message. Optional photos and videos are stored only to investigate your request and are not shared with advertising networks.

Technical and device information

To prevent abusive automated requests and diagnose technical errors, our servers log your IP address, browser type, and operating system.

2. How your data is processed and shared

We share data only with service providers directly involved in creating, manufacturing, and delivering your order.

  • AI inference infrastructure: To generate artwork, your prompts and style parameters are transmitted via encrypted API connections to specialized AI inference providers, including Fal AI and OpenRouter. We never transmit your name, phone number, physical address, or payment data to AI providers.
  • Print manufacturing and couriers: When an order is confirmed, the high-resolution print file, your chosen phone model, case material, and shipping address are securely passed to our print manufacturing and courier partners to print and dispatch your package.
  • Payment gateways: Authorized payment processors handle payment collection and fraud screening.
  • Product analytics: We use PostHog in the browser and from our servers to analyze user flows, feature usage, generation reliability, checkout progress, payment outcomes, and fulfillment status. Customer activity is associated with an internal customer identifier. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, delivery addresses, raw prompts, or private design files to PostHog event properties.
  • Advertising measurement: We use Meta Pixel in the browser and Meta’s Conversions API from our servers to measure marketing performance. For confirmed events, both methods may receive the same event identifier so Meta can deduplicate them. Contact details used for matching are normalized and cryptographically hashed before transmission. Meta may also receive standard request context such as IP address, browser user agent, and Meta cookie identifiers. We do not pass raw prompts, uploaded photographs, private design files, or delivery addresses to advertising networks.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

You can submit a design for credited publication. Submitting is optional.

  • If you submit a design, our team reviews it before publication. Approved artwork and your chosen display name become publicly discoverable. Your original prompt is shown only when you choose to make it public.
  • If you generate a design and do not place an order for it, we may publish that artwork in the community gallery as Anonymous after review. We do not publish your name, email, phone number, delivery address, order history, or original prompt with those designs.
  • Designs attached to an order are not published unless you submit them.
  • We record when you consented to a credited submission and which version of the sharing notice you accepted.
  • We never publish your email address, phone number, delivery address, or order history.
  • You can request public removal at any time by emailing hello@thepromptcase.com with the design link. If you submitted the design, include the contact email used to submit it.

4. Data retention and deletion

  • Order records: We retain completed order records, shipping addresses, and associated print files for a reasonable period to satisfy tax requirements, handle warranty or defect replacement claims, and support re-orders.
  • Removed community designs: Public removal stops new community discovery and public ordering. We may retain the artwork, consent record, and files needed to process existing orders and maintain required records.
  • Unpurchased design sessions: Temporary design drafts that are not purchased or published to the community may be pruned periodically.
  • Your rights: Under applicable Indian laws, you have the right to review, correct, or request deletion of your personal information stored with us. To request deletion or update your records, email hello@thepromptcase.com.
